FAQ’s

Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is wellness?

Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential.   It is positive, affirmative and holistic, encompassing your lifestyle,  mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.  As human beings we are constantly changing and adapting to new sets of circumstances.  Wellness is a way of life that helps us stay aware of the changes and make positive changes so that we can stay as balanced and open as possible to make the best decisions.

I have never heard of wellness.  Is it popular?

According to Forbes Magazine in 2017, consumers are placing more value on health and wellness than on material objects these days, and the definition of health and wellness has evolved. The phrase no longer refers simply to a lack of illness and disease, but to a more holistic state of being, where one’s mental, physical and emotional health are in sync. And in an era in which so many catalog their lives on social media, looking great, feeling good and sleeping well are the new necessities that consumers want to try and enjoy.

What if I’ve never had a session like you offer?  How do I know if I will like it or that it will help me?

That is a good question and certainly one worth asking.  We know there may be a lot of people who have never heard of, let alone have experienced one of our many types of sessions.  We would suggest you sign up for one of our  Wellness Talks.  We will have two or more of these talks every month where we simply share general information about health and wellness.  This will give you a chance to learn and make better choices for your own well-being.

What hours will you be open?

Excellent question!  Our hours will be by appointment only for individual sessions.  Of course, our  Wellness Talks, our  Open House events and our Community Potlucks & Open Discussions and our Monthly Community Clinic days will be posted on our website, Facebook (Center for Inner Wellness), Instagram and  lots of other event sites. Plus we’ll  also have flyers posted on the window of our office for all of those and any other events, classes, workshops or training.  Of course, the very best way will be to sign up for our monthly email notifications so you can add the ones you’re interested in to your calendars.  If you go to our home page and scroll down the screen,  where you can sign up for monthly emails there!

Plus, we make things as easy as possible by having online RSVP’s or phone numbers for each type of event so that both you and all of us at the Center for Inner Wellness will know you’re coming. Just go to our “Community” tab and see our offerings.
